Is there a Canadian supplier for Accu edge low profile blades? Vendors are welcome to reply to me personally or to Histonet.
I currently use Sturkey silver for small biopsies and bone marrow aspirates and Shandon MX35 for all other blocks. The Shandon blades are supposed to be for hard tissue, are incredibly sharp but not very durable and cost $3 Cdn each (ouch) as compared to $2.10 Cdn for the Sturkeys.The MX35's are so sharp that with a new blade I have to rub the edges a block with my thumb to get a ribbon and the sections just jump off the blade with no wrinkles and very little compression. So, I want a blade as sharp, more durable and cheaper (and while you're at it the formula for turning lead into gold).
