Sigma has a kit for this (probably the easiest way to do this stain).  It's called Leukocyte naphthol AS-D Chloroacetate esterase, and the kit number is 91-C.  It can be done on paraffin sections, using appendix as a control.  Neutrophils stain a bright red.
