Re: laser capture microdissection

From:richard hazelton

Dear Rob,

I operated the Arcturus PixCell II at USyd for 18 months. DNA and RNA were
routinely extracted and manipulated.
Comments? It is a demanding technique. Best results are obtained with frozen
tissue. Microdissect specimens without delay. Don't try to process too many
samples together. Try to minimise staining. Listen to music as you
microdissect to distract you from the instrument's confounded beeping.
Contact me with specific problems.

Subject: laser capture microdissection

Can anyone using laser capture microdissection comment on their experiences
using this technique for RNA and DNA isolation. Whose instrument are you
using?

thanks,
rob
