Teri,
In my experience with freezing tissues for IHC or any
procedure I would use a mold, orient your specimen and
freeze in OCT. We used a freezing bath called a
Histobath with a solution of 2-Methyl-butane. I found
this to be an effective means with little to no
freezing artifact.
