Re: Bodians stain
John Hoffman sez:
>>i thought boudain was a Cajun sausage.<<
'Deed it is, John, and a delicious one with beans and rice.
But David Bodian, an anatomist at Johns Hopkins Hospital about half a century
ago and a major contributor to the CNS pathology of poliomyelitis, modified
the old Ramon y Cajal silver stains so that they worked on paraffin sections,
a noteworthy achievement. He was still working when I was a resident there in
the 1960's, and I regret that I never met him.
