RE: Ki-67 on previous H&E

From:Luis Chiriboga

Hi Nick
I recently did something similar on a host of breast aspirates. I found that
it was important to make sure that the mounting media was completely
removed. I usually let the slides sit in xylene ( if using permount etc...)
for a few days and change frequently. Hope this helps!

Subject: Ki-67 on previous H&E

Need to do a Ki-67 on human tissue previously stained with a routine H&E
using Mayers and Eosin with acetic acid. My gut tells me this will work,
and yes I am doing HIER. I expect there could be some background, but is
there any chemical or molecular situation I am not thinking about that
prevents this from working?
