Re: bone marrow smears

Can we have a little more information first?
- Have the smears been OK previously, and now they are different?
Or have they always been washed out?
- What are you fixing them in? For how long?
- What stain or stains are looking washed out?
- What does "washed out" mean? Pale? Smudgy? Cytoplasm? Nucleus?
Details, please.
