We have been using a bench top autoclave for our antigen retrieval for
several years. At first we only used it for select antigens now we use it
for everything that requires antigen retrieval. We set the timer for 25
minutes and the temperature for 240. In addition we use Dako's target
retrieval solution. The only problem that we have had is that if you bring
the autoclave down to room temperature too quickly the lids may pop off the
coplin jars. We eliminated that problem by using different containers which
don't have the screw top lid. I hope this helps. Tom
