No injuries after 2 years with microm fully automated. Have used automated
cryostats for ten years ....none there either. Had many cuts on old
microtomes... carpal tunnel much better with automatic...wonderful better
sections also.

Wasn't there an Ancient Chinese Torture known as the Death of a
Thousand Cuts? I imagined it working slowly upwards from the
soles of the feet, in increments of 1.5-2.0 mm. It would have
needed a robust microtome and also a motor, because at one
section per minute the executioner's bladder would never have
held out for the whole ceremony!
