Hi everyone
Just back from France, and saw the item re coverslip thicknesses.
Absolutely right, 1and1/2 are OK to use. Along with all the other useful
(?) information written on microscope objective lenses (NA, tube length
etc) is likely to be "0.17". This is the thickness of coverslip that the
objective is designed to work with, so 0.17 mm thick coverslips are
fine.
