Hi Gayle,
I have done the Dawson's technique published in CFA Culling's third edition
of "Handbook of HIstopathological and Histochemical Techniques" on page 549,
but only uses Alizarin red S.  It works very nicely and I still have the
specimen that I used it on, still preserved.
