	Hi Evanna,

		We use the colored OCT for a couple different purposes.  If
there are different groups in a study, a different color can be used to
identify a different tissue or time point for a quick visual reference when
grabbing a block from a bag of specimens.  We also use it when we are
sectioning small, whitish colored tissues or filters.  The contrast in color
makes the sample easier to find.  The last reason, I have to admit is
aesthetics.  It's just plain fun (especially when you combine more than one
color and then freeze them......)!  I highly recommend it.
