About two weeks ago I sent out the following message (see old message
below) to everyone on the histonet as I had been e-mailed by several people
who wanted to donate to this situation. So far no funds have been deposited
into the account for the Dize family. Please if you can help it would be
most appreciated.

Update on Morgan: as of 8/4/99 Morgan Dize is slowly progressing. She has
been moved to a regular room. She is still on a feeding tube and is not
able to speak or move very much, however, she is starting to make sounds
and can move one leg fairly well and yesterday lifed and moved her head.
She is receiving speach and physicial therapy three times a day and is
slowly gaining ground. She will be in the hospital for at least 3-4 more
weeks. 

Morgan will celebrate her 5th birthday in two weeks. If you want to send
cards you can send them to the following address or in a day or two I will
have an address to send them directly to Morgans room at the hospital:

Lynn, Morgan's mother and our collegue (Supervisor of the Histology
Laboratory at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia) is very greatful to

will really mean a lot as the bills for Morgan's care are piling up and the

OLD MESSAGE:

This is a real situation and I hope that we as a group can contribute and
help the Dize family with their daughter's medical bills or other costs. If
you have never been through this you don't realize how fast the insurance
money goes and that there are many expenses you don't realize until it
happens. PLEASE SEE BELOW (FUND ESTABLISHED) FOR HOW YOU CAN HELP!

For those of you who missed my e-mail last week. Lynn Dize, Histology
Supervisor at the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta Georgia was in a car
accident with her almost 5 year old daughter. Lynn is fine, however, her

daughter sustained major head injury even though she was in the back seat
and buckled in. 

Here is an update on the Lynn Dize, daughter's condition. First her
daughters name is Morgan. She is still in critical condition and in a coma
but is stable. They tried to take her off medications last week and she did
not respond well and the swelling in her brain became severe, therefore,
they had to place her back on the medications to stabilize her. She is once
again stable. They will try removing medications again this week to see if
she will come out of the coma.

New update: The took Morgan off more medications she briefly opened her
eyes and she squeezed her mothers hand. This is encouraging, however, she
is still in critical condition.
