Dear Raymond,
Sounds similar to a the staining trays produced by the Binding Site (Birmingham
University, UK, I think). I have also seen similar trays offered elsewhere, I
think in the CellPath catalogue. The tray held a magnetic strip which was
integral with the humid chamber and the slides could be washed and drained in
situ, so to speak. I wasn't keen on them as I often stain a range of antibodies
together and was concerned about cross contamination, but if you are doing a
batch stain for one antibody this wouldn't be an issue and I could imagine that
once you get the hang of them they would be very good. I also felt they were
rather expensive.
