We recieve 2 bxs pr pt, L&R. Most times thier are 2-3 cores for each
side. We face in to the blocks just until we barely reach the tissue
and then cut 8 ribbons on each block. We take one section from the
first 4 ribbons and those go on slide one. One section each from the
next 4 ribbons go on slide 2. Total = 8 levels on 2 slides, 4 slides pr
pt. We do 903 when requested by the pathologist. If you watch your
ribbons and keep an eye on the tissue you should have plenty. We don't
pick up extra blank sections unless we notice that the tissue is
starting to decrease (after you go past the mid-point in the block).
