Charlotte,
I just purchased the Protocol stainer/coverslipper. I believe the various
automatic stainers and coverslippers are unique and each works well but serve
better in varied settings. I work in a fairly high volume lab but we are not as
concern with time pressures as many labs. We liked the advantage of the stain
pack. We were worn out with changing solutions and washing dishes. We had some
minor problems getting the system properly aligned after delivery. But the
company stayed right on top of it. The engineer came and now everything is
working beautifully. I am amazed by the amount of work it has eliminated. The
company can give you people to call who have had the equipment considerably
longer.
Hope this helps.
