Oil Red O on paraffin embedded tissues

Dear Histonetters,
I knew when I posted my question regarding Oil Red O on paraffin embedded
sections that many would respond with "this can't be done". That is what I
thought too, but on page 178 of my AFIP Lab Methods in Histotechnology book,
there is a protocol for Oil Red O for paraffin sections. Maybe the alcohols
and xylenes take out some lipids and not all types of lipids? Anyway, it
was something I found interesting when flipping through the book.
