I believe the times you listed are too short for processing skin adequately. I suspect your sections are separating on the water bath?  This is because the fat has not been completely removed, and the paraffin has not adequately infiltrated.  When I process mouse skin, I use 3 hours per station - 70% ethanol x1; 95% ethanol x1; 100% ethanol x4; xylene x3; paraffin x4.  I use a VIP processor, with vacuum on all stations. I have no problem sectioning skin processed this way.
