[Histonet] looking for a method to quantitative evaluation of histological image

From:"Xilong Li"

Hi, All,

I am looking for a consistent method to quantitative evaluation of
histological image. In our labs, we conducted the research on dystrophy
muscle, after experimental treatment, damage in skeletal muscle supposed
to be improved such as fiber size or fiberosis changing, H&E staining or
trichrome staining were used on frozen section to assess the improvement
of damage, but it is hard to say how much of damage were improved. I
just wonder is there any microcomputer-based system or scale can be used
to do semiquantitative image analysis? Please let me know if possible.

Thanks in advance.
