Hi Trisha,
        This is most commonly caused by blade holder and its  clearance 
angle being to small. Give me a call and I'll go over some things you can 
try.

I am having problems with the microtome skipping every other slice.  If
there a blade adjustment that can help, please, describe how I can do that
before I send it off to repair.
