Hi,
We use Shando's  "Sequenza" to do only a small number of slides these days
since a DAKO Techmate came along.
The Sequenza has the option of an organiser for several sets of slides but
this is not necessary for small numbers of slides
The slides are arrayed each against plastic plates, in groups of ten.  The
plates forms a well at one end and solutions slowly drain past, accross the
face of the slides,  buffers antibodies, chromogens , whatever.
In terms of a manual system it is sweeter than using trays, boxes.   Once
set in the clip there is no handling until the end.  The waste is held in
the container, staining is even , no ringing of the sections with a pen,
sweet.  Having done batches of a hundred with trays and then the sequenza,
my money is on the latter.
