I'm also a little bit ashamed of having read it, but as a citizen of the
European Community (In contrast to Andi! I think Britain and especially
Wales is still member of the community) I'm not TOO ashamed. 

Have you ever tried Canada balsam from Sigma-Aldrich (the former Fluka)?
Maybe that stuff is produced from real Canadian gnats.
