ploidy and % S phase
I was wondering what everyone is doing for their breast cancer specimens in regards to immunos and/or flow cytometry? We currently do ER, PR, Her-2 (Dako), Ki-67, as well as ploidy and %S phase by flow cytometry. We have not changed our menu in some time and I wanted to get a feel for what other institutions are doing. My impression from talking with some oncologists is that they do not need the ploidy/% S phase but we keep getting requests. I wonder if this is one of those "we've always done it" situations. I would appreciate any input while we evaluate the situation. Thanks in advance for your input.
