I would suggest the best option would be to investigate slide writers.

We are looking for stain and xylene resistant slides labels  that are also
permanent. By permanent, I mean it takes a lot of effort to  remove them
from the slide after they are applied. The labels we have tested,  while
they do withstand the chemicals, can be easily removed from the slides.
Has anyone had success in this area?
