Hi All,
This is a request to the UK members as I know that in America to perform
embalming you have to be registered. Does anyone know of any legislation
here in the UK that relates to embalming in Hospital Morgues.Does the
hospital morgue come under the Anatomical Law or does anyone know if after
the Organ Retention enquiry do families have to give informed consent or
does this only apply to PM'S.
I have looked through the new consultation document Human Bodies Human
Choices at the DOH site but can find no reference to the above practice.Do
any MTO's perform embalming duties in other hospitals in England Wales or
Scotland.What Guidelines do you utilise for this procedure.
