POSITION DESCRIPTION/ANNOUNCEMENT

College of Veterinary Medicine, Mississippi State University, is
seeking a Histotechnologist I/II/Sr.   Primary responsibilities
include performance of routine histological procedures on
tissues from all species of animals and supervising employees in
the histopathology/necropsy section of the clinical laboratory.

Qualifications:  I  B.S. in a scientific field and HT(ASCP)
registry (or HT(ASCP) registry-eligible*) OR high school
diploma, HT(ASCP) registry, and one years experience in
histopathology; II - B.S. in a scientific field and HTL(ASCP)
registry, and one years experience in histopathology, OR B.S. in
a scientific field, HT(ASCP) registry, and two years experience
in histopathology, OR high school graduation, HT(ASCP) registry,
and three years experience in histopathology; Sr  B.S. degree in
scientific field, HTL(ASCP) registry, and five years experience
in histopathology, including moderate supervisory experience, OR
B.S. in a scientific field, HT(ASCP) registry, and six years
experience in histopathology, including moderate supervisory
experience, OR high school graduation, HT(ASCP) registry, and
seven years experience in histopathology, including significant
supervisory experience.

Salary:  Commensurate with qualifications and education.
