IHC of ECM

Here's a message Gail sent to me instead of the list. Please reply to

Thanks

Is there a known protocol for immunhistochemical staining of adsorbed
ECM
from, say, fibroblasts? I've trawled the online literature but the only
ECM
analysis I've ever been able to find is via SDS-PAGE (electrophoresis)
or
chromatography.

There appear to be loads of papers where the cells have been lysed and

subsequent antibody staining of collagen/fibronectin etc done - but can

this actually be described as 'extracellular' matrix since the cells
have
to be entered to stain for it?

Here's hoping :)

Thanks,
