Freida Carson, PhD, wrote a letter in "NSH in Action" a few
years ago, and her figure for histotechs in the USA was
30,000. Her lament was that the majority of these people
were not ASCP certified nor were they members of NSH.

Maybe Freida can enlighten us as to where she go this
figure.
