RE: Zinkformalin

I is my experience that ZincFormalin(not to be confused with Zn fix without
formalin) can require pre-treatment if left in the fixative too long. I
guess the formalin in the fixative eventually does cross-link?

Eva, You will not need any antigen retrieval (enzyme or head -mediated) if
you are using a zinc fixative.

Dear histonetters,
I have a question about Zink-(acetate)formalin, do you need to use antigen
retrieval before staining
immunohistochemistry?
Thanks, in advance
