Hi Ian,

Here's the Gomori's One Step,  And this is the method that Victor Tobias,
that Gayle mentioned,  would have put on the net.

1. Deparaffinize and hydrate to distilled water.
2. Place in Bouin's solution in oven at 60C for one hour.
3. Wash will in running tap water till yellow color is gone.
4. Rinse in distilled water.
5. Stain in Weigert's hematoxylin for 10min.
6.  Wash in running tap water for 10 min
7. Place in Gomori's trichrome stain for 20 min
8. Differentiate in 0.5% glacial acetic acid for 2 min
9. Dehydrate, clear, and mount

Muscle fibers.........................Red
Collagen..............................Green
Nuclei..............................Blue to Black

Weigert's Hematoxylin
     Soln A
         Hematoxylin ..............................1.0 gm
         95% alcohol..............................100.0 ml
     Soln B
         Ferric Chloride 29% aqueous.........4.0 ml
         Distilled Water..............................95.0 ml
         Hydrochloric Acid,  concentrated......1.0 ml
Weigert's Working ... Mix equal parts of soln A and
soln B.

Gomori's Trichrome
    Chromotrope 2R.............................0.6 gm
    Light Green, SF yellowish................0.3 gm
    Glacial acetic acid........................... 1.0 ml
    Phosphotungstic acid........................0.8 gm
    Distilled Water...............................100 ml
