Office microscopes

From:Gayle Callis <uvsgc@montana.edu>

It would be very difficult for pathologists to dictate while reading slides
in a more open laboratory setting, this requires privacy in order to
concentrate on a diagnostic method that needs their total attention. I
vote for office microscopes, in fact, you should tell your ridiculous
safety people there are microscopes designed for office use, ie 'office
equipment" and microscopes designed for laboratories. Should confuse the
heck out of them! DUH!

As for floor coverings under a microscope, a glass slide is less likely to
break on a carpet!! in a viewing area. (a "microscopy' office!)
