Trisha,

There are many methods for the processing and embedding of bone in plastic.
Diane Sterchi and I both wrote articles for embeddding bone in plastic
containers. They cannot be polystyrene nor low-density polyethylene
containers. Most container sold at Walmart, KMart etc. for the storage of
frozen foods work really well. I also get containers from Industrial
Containers in West Valley City Utah which are very inexpensive.

Publishing articles about bone processing has slowed a bit over the past
few years but there are tons of articles that were published in the 80'and
90's in the Journal of Histotechnology. If you like you may have your post
doc give me a call.

Regards,
Cathy
