Is anyone using a vibratome? If so, what are you using (if at all) to
embed your (fixed) tissues. There seems to be a number of
options, agar, agar/sucrose, agarose, gelatin.
Agar works OK on some specimens but does not support the
tissue very well when needed e.g. small embryo's, muscle.
Any tips on embedding (media, concentrations, appropriate for which
tissue) would be very helpful.
Most of the work is for ISH on tissue slices anything from 20 to 100
microns.
Many thanks,
Terry.
