I received some blocks from an outside lab requesting us to stain for 
leagionella.  The first time the tech tried the stain it did not work well.  
I called the lab requesting the work and asked what fixative had been used.  
The answer was zinc formalin.  Before we repeat it, I would like to know if 
any of these zinc formalin fixatives cause problems with either the 
Warthin-Starry or Modified Steiner stains. Any help would be appreciated.
