I agree with Brett regarding the Nikon scope.  We've used both the E1000 and
the E800.  I've also used the Zeiss Axioplan and Axiophot for image
analysis/image capture but find the Nikon optics comparable to the Zeiss.
We use Kodak/Nikon digital cameras for image capture (for publication
quality images) and Dage digital camera for image analysis that the Nikon
scopes facilitates without modifications.  The 0.5x objective and stage are
excellent if you require that low a magnification.
