What percent of KMNO4 are you using? We routinely bleach melanin with .25%
KMNO4. Tissues are mounted on Poly-L-Lysine coated slides and treated for
one hour, rinsed in water, decolorized with 5% Oxalic Acid till clear and
rinsed in water.
