I often leave paraffin sections to dry in a 60 degree C oven over the
weekend before immunostaining for ER/PR and stromal markers, no problems.
Also, admittedly my remarks about bunsen burners in histo need
clarification, its safer if you are only a one or two person lab- less
chance of forgetting or getting signals crossed. Our embedding usually
takes only 1/2 to 1 hour and then its off for the day.
