I found the remark interesting that requirement of an associates degree
would somehow diminish those who already were registered HTs.

In 1980, I jumped at the opportunity to take the HTL exam and sat with the
first test group. I remember thinking that I would now be registered in a
profession that required a degree. I was quite proud.

HTs already registered would not be required to do anything. As I see it,
the job is receiving the recognition it deserves and so is every HT who is
already registered.

Just my 2 cents. Felt like having an opinion today!
