I am looking for potential pathological changes in muscle from a
variety of mouse mutations.
The whole hind leg is placed in formol saline, pieces of muscle
removed then processed to paraffin wax. There appears to be
some artefact within the muscle fibre when sectioned transversley,
(some of this could be pathology, I am waiting for a normal control).
Does anyone have any experience with muscle "biopsies" and processing
procedures. I know this is not the best approach for muscle but this
is an initial look-see before getting into the realms of special
stains, frozen sections etc.

Terry.
