It seems as if most of the disposable blades on the market today do not have
to be cleaned before use. Blades,in the past, had an oily finish and we used
to wipe them with alcohol.

For removing debris after sectioning we have a wonderful "wiper". It is a
grit-free polyvinyl alcohol sponge which can be drawn across the blade
edge(facet) without damaging it in the slightest!

We sell it in strips ready for use...10/bag cat#FW
