Subject: Re: ANTIGEN UNMASKING
Philips et al in a recent publication(J. Appl. Dom. Sci.
Tech.1999;22,37-44)
described the use of the domestic steam iron to achieve antigen
unmasking in paraffin sections. The distilled water being replaced by
citrate
buffer pH6, and by 'ironing' the sections through absorbent brown paper
the dewaxing step is combined with the antigen unmasking.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who
has had
any success with this technique.
Thanks in advance
