All of our specimens go through the Pathology Lab Sent-Out Department after being described by the PA.

This question is for those of you who work in hospitals and send out POC tissue for genetic studies/chromosome analysis.

Does the tissue get sent out directly from Labor and Delivery, or does the tissue go through Pathology and Pathology sends it out?
