Hi:  GLP stands for "Good Laboratory Practice".  Its
basically record keeping and documentation practiced
in non-clinical lab studies.  The FDA regulates GLP,
and the requirements of the regulation are legal
mandates and the FDA has the power to enforce them.
I'm sure the FDA website will help you out about
compliance. Our research lab hired a consultant to
come to our facility and give us basic GLP training. 
It was a good start and slowly but surely we are
rewriting procedures and documenting everything to
become compliant.  Its good practice to follow for any
lab.  There is lots of info on the net on GLP, even
some good procedure templates.  Have fun, Pam
