RE: automated coverslippers

From:"Gutierrez, Juan"

I have used:
1.Hacker-Meisei Robot coverslipper. Glass. Good speed.
2.Tissue-Tek Coverslipper. Plastic. Fastest? Not very good for photos.
3.Shandon Consul. Glass. Good speed. Bubbles. Can't use recycled xylene.
4.Leica CV5030. Glass. New to us, so we are still fine-tuning it. Some
bubbles. Very good speed.

If I had to buy one right now, I would buy the Hacker-Meiser. We abused
ours for close to 12 years and I think it still works. Hope this gives you
some direction, and by all means test drive before you buy.
Good luck,

Subject: automated coverslippers

Our lab is in the market for a new Glass Automated Coverslipper.
I'd like some feedback about likes & dislikes of automated coverslippers
currently being used in Histology Labs.
I like to know how reliable it is, how fast, how many slide racks it can
hold, & any other helpful info available.

Thank you,

Pamela
