There are plenty of pink floors to attest to the importance of temperature:-)

Subject: Schiff's Reagent
I am curious to know why it is important to cool Schiffs reagent to 50degC before adding the potassium metabisulphate. I have seen this in a number of methods. Does anyone have an explanation for this? ie. Is that temperature really that important? Thankyou.
