The biggest problem is that when you respond to any spam e-mail, you confirm your e-mail address as valid and you could be opening yourself up to a future flood of spam e-mails.  Valid e-mail addresses are bought and sold on the net daily.

I'm not sure these come from Histonet. I've gotten several - even those that say I've won the European lottery! They of course wanted money, but when I asked them to deduct it from the winnings, I never heard anything again. Such is life….j:>)
