This position posting at the CDC is open until May 6.

Histonetters, If you are interested in a histotechnology postion at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, a postion has been posted today. See the links below. This postion is in the Infectious Disease Pathology section and deals with histopathology of infectious disease. The postion requires a solid background in histotechnology and experience in immunhistochemistry is desireable.

This is a super position and you will be on the cutting edge of infectious disease diagnosis and research.

They have posted two announcements, but they are for the same  postion . The Biologist announcement is for those who may not have a full degree , or something not directly related to histology  but can meet the college credit requirements.  If you have a full  biology/chemistry science degree and are ASCP certified as MT, HT or HTL, use the Medical Technologist announcement.   You can apply to both announcements if you want to cover the bases , but that would require sending duplicates of all paperwork . Read the announcement carefully and format your resume exactly as described, then it can be used as an application. Pay special attention to the KSA's (knowledge, skills and abilities) section. Answer the five questions fully and detail exactly what you know and what you have done.

Good luck!

If you have trouble with these links try this page and look for "Search current job openings", look for all jobs in Atlanta, then for Biologist or Medical Technologist, for the Division of Viral and Rickettsial Diseases, Infectious Disease Pathology Activity.
