Cytology Equipment/Lab Safety Program

Hello all. I need some advice on cytology equipment. We will be preparing cytology specimens in our lab and I am looking for an inexpensive centrifuge for general purpose cytology specimens (i.e., sputum, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid). For 50 ml tubes. There are so many out there in the catalogs and so forth. Could anyone recommend one?

I was given the title of lab safety officer and I need some help with that as well. I don't know where to begin. What do I need to help launch it? Could I get some literature?
