Re: Oligodendrocyte marker

From:Joseph Lee

I don't use anti-CNP. But, according to some refs,
anti-CNP monoclonal antibodies has allowed CNP to be
exploited as a specific immunological marker for
oligodendrocytes and Schwann cellsntwo cell types that
elaborate and maintain myelin sheaths in the central
nervous system (CNS) and peripheral nervous system
(PNS), respectively.

Immunochemical identification of 2', 3'-cyclic
nucleotide 3'-phosphodiesterase in central and
peripheral nervous system myelin, the Wolfgram protein
fraction, and bovine oligodendrocytes.
