processing tissue with fluorescent microparticles

From:"Ezernieks, Emily"

Hi!

Has anyone out there in Histoland ever processed tissue that has
Fluoresbrite Microparticles (from Polysciences) in it? According to their
tech support people, the fluorescent dye in the particles is soluable in
ethanol, while xylene is a solvent for the particles themselves. The data
sheet suggests n-butyl alcohol for clearing and deparaffinizing, but has no
suggestions for what to use as the dehydrant. Any suggestion or protocols
are welcome!

Thanks,

Emily
